Choosing a location & reading ping

Why region matters and how to pick the one with the best latency for you and your players.

·Understand ping

  1. 1Ping is the round-trip time to the server — lower is better for fast reactions.
  2. 2The deploy page shows a live ping to our Singapore node, and estimates to every other region based on your location.
  3. 3Regions with lower ping are generally best; pick near your players, not just you.

·Available regions

  1. 1Singapore, Sydney, Mumbai, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Toronto, Portland, Washington DC, Tokyo, Warsaw and Helsinki.
  2. 2Every region is orderable. If a region is at high volume, your paid order is confirmed and deploys automatically as soon as capacity is added.

·Can I move regions later?

  1. 1Yes — open your server and we transfer it to a region that fits your plan when you upgrade or migrate.
